This interview was an interesting one for us since car customization is a field that we have very limited knowledge or experience in. My ream of car customization goes as far as adding a dvd/ cd deck and subwoofer to a 95' Honda accord back in high school so for anyone to take a base model vehicle and completely scrap it and turn it into a whole new vehicle gets kudos in my book.
What interest you in customizing cars?
The things that interest me the most in customizing cars is the work that it takes going into a build. Seeing the expressions on people's faces when you ride by. Also, it shows your creative side. There are no two cars the exact same. Everyone has their own style and i love seeing what everyone brings to the table.
How long have you been dealing with car customization?
Ive actually been building my own cars since about 2008. As in interested in customizing cars, its been my whole life.
What cars have you already customized up till today?
Ive customized a few cars up until today. My first car that i actually put any thought and time into was my 2007 Dodge Charger. If anyone knows me i had that car for about 4 years and switched it up all the time… When i sold it it had 26" forgiato grano wheels, Mazda factory blue paint, HIDs, interior was purple alligator and blue ostrich and also included a 7" in dash cd player, 25" flip down tv, and 2 7" headrest tvs. In the trunk i had 4 Memphis 12's ingrounded into the floor of the trunk. My next car was a 2007 Dodge Magnum which was featured in RIDES Magazine prior to me owning it. It was lime green and black on 26" Lexani Dial wheels, lambo doors, fiberglassed doors with tvs, fiberglassed dash, black and lime green interior it, 2 L7 Kicker 15's in the trunk. It was a head turning car. My next car after these was a 2001 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. This build was probably the biggest I've done out of all of them. Mods included: 30" Davin PWRFL floaters, Gullwing front doors, reverse lambo back doors, pink pearl paint job, 6" suspension lift ready up to 32's, pink hids, strobe lights in the headlights n taillights, 12 pioneer 6x9s in the inside (all 4 doors & back deck), 6 pioneer 12's in the trunk with 4 pioneer amps, pink lighting in the trunk, inside under seats etc & underneath the car, 7" app radio indash, 7" headrest tvs, 25" flipdown tv, 2 visor tvs, door poppers cause we shaved the door handles, interior is all pink n black leather, new black carpet, 2 marine speakers in the grille, 2 delta 40 series flowmaster pipes, remote start & alarm. Now, I've moved onto something a little newer….. Ive built a Candy Teal Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet on 32" Amani Forged wheels, fiberglassed doors including eminence brand highs and mids speakers, Tiarra Grille, 2 kicker 12's in the trunk, fully redone teal convertible top. Prior to it being teal it was gold on 32" forgiatos… I've switched this car up about 3 times in one year. My current project is an Infiniti g35 coupe which i can't let what I'm doing to that out yet :) you will just have to stay tuned! hehe.
What Year, Make, and Model of vehicles is your favorite?
My favorite vehicle out right now….. Hmmmm this is a hard one. Besides the one I'm driving i would have to say a 1971 Impala convertible AKA a 71 Vert Donk! My goal in the near future is to complete one of those.
What were or are your biggest challenges in customizing cars?
Biggest challenges in customizing cars is doing something different. Doing something no one else has thought of. Thinking outside the box! That will win all day in the car world.
Do you drive your customized cars on the regular or just for show?
I drive my custom cars just to car shows. I have an everyday car as well. But I'm not scared to put my 32's on the interstate and travel :)
